In 2026, those who are still tinkering with the cat drive should understand that the original 4010 fan is really useless. Once the hard drive is fully loaded, it will overheat and shut down, making it easy to lay down a lightweight NAS.
There's nothing fancy about it, it's just that the small fan doesn't have enough air volume. Just replace it with a bigger one in one go. Try not to damage the original structure throughout the entire process. The fan cover and front panel are all designed with snap fasteners, which do not require sticking or punching, and can be restored after disassembly. The front panel has a handy "RTX 8090" function, which is practical and can also accommodate an X.
For two consecutive weeks, the upload and download of large files were fully tested, and the temperature of the hard drive remained stable throughout the process without any overheating or shutdown. Old machines can extend their lifespan with just a small amount of effort, and they also have an interesting appearance. This wave is not lacking.

The hexagonal nut at the top is used for fastening and is assembled using threads, making it convenient to add or remove trays. Through precise tolerance fitting, smooth rotation is achieved, which is called decompression when rotating
Modular stacking: Each layer of tray can be independently disassembled, and the number of cards to be placed depends entirely on the mood.
Multi purpose slot: In addition to storing bank cards and access cards, the notch design on the side is actually for easy access.
Stable base: thickened bottom treatment, no matter how it rotates, it will not overturn.

This time, we share an original split type multifunctional pen holder model designed specifically for desks. It focuses on modular and free combination, taking into account pen storage and small object partition placement, and maximizing practicality. The entire model is fully modeled using SolidWorks and directly printed into shape using FDM printers.
When modeling, a split buckle structure design is adopted, and the pen holder body is divided into a large and a small double storage pen compartment, with a slanted notch for easy extraction of the pen holder; Equipped with a dual zone tray that can be disassembled separately, it is used to place scattered small items such as headphones, toner, sticky notes, erasers, etc. The tray and pen holder base can be precisely engaged and placed stably without sliding.
The shape has been fully optimized with rounded corners, without sharp edges. At the same time, the wall thickness has been adjusted for 3D printing technology, and the shell has been thickened to 1.6mm. After printing, the structure is sturdy and not easily broken; All vertical facades do not require support, greatly saving printing consumables and time. PLA consumables can be stably formed without almost any post-processing polishing.
The size fits a regular desk, and the pen holder can be used to classify and place hook pens, neutral pens, and marker pens. The tray has double compartments to separate and store miscellaneous items; The reserved tolerance of the model is moderate, and the disassembly and combination are smooth and not loose. After downloading the file, you can scale the size as needed, enlarge it for use in the office, shrink it to fit students' desks, and also modify the number of compartments and tray structure for secondary DIY renovation.
As a desktop tool frequently used in daily life, this storage pen holder combines a simple appearance with practical functions. The printed products have a clean and elegant texture, and the gray and white two-color splicing has a high aesthetic value, suitable for students, designers, and office workers.
