A flower shaped tray earns its place in the middle of the table. Eight petals open around a small round well in the centre, so the olives, the nuts and the sweets each get their own shallow dish instead of turning into one pile, and the dip goes in the middle where it stays put. It is a wide, shallow piece, about the size of a dinner plate, with a flat base that sits steady and rims low enough to reach over while everyone is picking. Printed in bright yellow it looks like it came off a market stall, and it takes any matte filament you fancy. One piece with no supports and nothing to assemble, so it goes from the plate straight to the table, and once the snacks are done it makes a tidy home for keys, coins and the odd hair tie.
